ABOUT KRISTIN
I'm Kristin Marcin, a licensed psychotherapist with a passion for helping adolescents and adults gain the skills necessary to achieve their goals, understand themselves, and live a fulfilling life. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. I went on to receive a Master's degree in Professional Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. During my time as a graduate student, I worked full-time in an inpatient psychiatric hospital where I worked with children, adolescents, and adults with severe and persistent mental health needs.
Since the completion of my education, I have worked in various levels of care including residential treatment, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, public school, and in the home setting. During my 13 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults
with a variety of behavioral and emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, low self esteem, substance abuse, family conflict, and defiance.
I have taken a special interest in adults who have survived personal losses. I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist with advanced training in helping heal those affected by death, divorce, or other personal losses. In addition, as a new mother, I have gained an interest in helping those who are experiencing reproductive health issues as well as those who are facing difficulties as they navigate through the adventure of parenthood.
